About Autism Services
Our Autism Services support autistic children, adolescents, and adults—as well as families—across the spectrum. We provide a respectful, sensory-aware environment where clients can explore strengths, address challenges, and build skills for daily life. Our interdisciplinary team uses evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches to enhance communication, reduce distress, and increase autonomy. Services are individualized to each person’s profile, goals, and context—promoting growth, confidence, and meaningful participation at home, school, work, and in the community.
Frequently Asked Questions
What autism-related needs do you address?
We help with diagnostic clarification; communication and social skills; emotional regulation; anxiety and OCD features; executive functioning (planning, organization, flexibility); adaptive living skills; school/work accommodations; transition planning; co-occurring ADHD or learning differences; and caregiver education and support.
What approaches do you use in autism care?
We tailor care using evidence-based, person-centered methods such as adapted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), social communication coaching, structured teaching (e.g., visuals, task analysis), executive-function coaching, sensory-informed strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parent/caregiver coaching, and—when appropriate and desired—goal-focused elements from ABA delivered in a compassionate, autonomy-supportive manner.
How can autism services benefit my child or me as an adult?
Services can improve daily functioning and quality of life: clearer communication, fewer meltdowns/shutdowns, better coping with change, improved school or workplace performance, increased independence, and stronger self-advocacy. Families often gain practical tools for support, collaboration with schools/employers, and a shared plan for progress.
Can services help if I’m waiting for or unsure about a diagnosis?
Yes. We can begin with a strengths/needs profile and practical supports while pursuing formal evaluation if desired. Many strategies—visual supports, sensory regulation, routines, communication tools—are helpful regardless of diagnostic status.
How long do autism services usually take?
Duration varies by goals and intensity (e.g., brief skills blocks vs. ongoing coaching). In the first sessions, we collaborate on measurable goals, agree on a schedule (weekly, biweekly, or targeted intensives), and review progress regularly to determine the most helpful length of care.
